A sunny day in June and the INNER WILD Elven Strappy Top makes summer frolics brighter.
A little elven top for all kinds of adventures in secret places with thin i-cord straps, hand knitted in Noro’s pretty jewel, rainbow effect yarn.
Hand knitted in beautiful Noro Silk Garden yarn that’s 45% silk, 45% kid mohair and 10% lambs wool; soft and luxurious and with a wild feeling to it.
The colours are different on the front and back and blend in a muted haze of in-between hues from gold to sage and navy, emerald to hazel and goldenrod, so beautiful.
I wanted to let the yarn and all its colors sing and so I made a simple crop bodice design with spaghetti hand knitted straps so it sits lightly against the body like a leaf.
There’s been some self-seeding of Strappy Tops over the past few months including one in Noro Shiro cashmere and silk yarn in pink and green, part of the Zenko Set above.
And two commissions in fairy sparkly sequin yarn. First the INNER WILD Celestial Catkin Strappy Top and Sleeves Set below.
And Celestial Capri Strappy Top and Sleeves below.
This design is so pretty on its own against the skin and wonderful as a top layer in winter, even over a favourite sweater.
When Faerie Magazine tweeted about the interview with INNER WILD last week, {what a magical experience that was!} it reminded me how shocked I was when I realised how many INNER WILD creations I’ve modelled over the years wearing fairy paraphernalia. And yes, even with an actual fairy! How have I accumulated so many pairs …
Quiet contemplation and contentment. Short days and frosty nights. A coolness of light. The quietness of time spent observing, being aware, noticing the beauty in every tiny moment. I am knitting a sock on tiny needles with rustic 4 ply wool rough against my finger tips. Ice crystals slide down the window glass. Letting all …
Stomping our boots on the rocks to shake off the first snow flurries, taking too-quick breaths that burn and tickle our lungs making us laugh and love the way the clean, sharp frosty air makes our bodies feel tingly and zingy. Wrapped in warm and nurturing hand knitted loveliness our hearts are warm too on …
