As we are all part of nature we feel the quickening in early Spring, a tingling of life force awakening inside us, a desire to rampage into newness. I wonder if like the sap in plant stems that is suddenly rising and full of vigour, we too have this response in our bodies.
All things seem possible and bright. Lambs are calling in the fields around me. Mama sheep are answering. Sunny daffodils bow low in the wind. Pale green shoots are appearing everywhere.

We splash in the cold water and run through the marram grass and red clover, the wild carrot bearing its crowns of seeds …
